NEW “VINTAGE” STAGE PRODUCTION

Vintage Players presents "The Torch-Bearers", a satirical comedy in 3-acts, to be performed Thursday March 19, Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22 in the main auditorium of Congregation Adath Israel, corner of Church & Broad Streets in Middletown. 

Written in 1922 by George Kelly (uncle of Grace Kelly), the plot revolves around an amateur theater group putting on a benefit performance. The playwright makes fun of the "Little Theatre Movement" and the pretentiousness of those who participate yet also illustrates how much fun the endeavor can be. 

Carolyn Kirsch directs the cast that includes Terri Klein, Naomi Kamins (also assistant director), John Hall, Pat Farrell, Peter Sipples, Jane McMillan, Maria Madsen Holzberg, Lynne Fiducia, Bob Alexander, Charles Rich, Richard Kamins and Danny Glazier. Marian Katz is set designer and costumer with Pat Murray and Cora Rodenhizer assisting with costumes, lighting and props. Curtain is 7:30 Thursday, 8 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
